The cylinder strip $\mathbb{Z}_h$ is defined for $h>1$ by $$\mathbb{Z}_h = \left\{ z \in \mathbb{C} \colon -\dfrac{\pi}{h} < \mathrm{Im}(z) \leq \dfrac{\pi}{h} \right\},$$ and for $h=0$, $\mathbb{Z}_0=\mathbb{C}$.
